Week 8

Finally, this blog has come to its end.
I got hit by a car today. Very interesting huh! Well, anyway, I now usually walk 2 miles at night time.
I think this experiment has helped me become more health oriented than before. I quit smoking, and started eating healthy. Sadly due to these requirements, I sleep less. I normally come home later than 10:30pm, so if I exercise and shower, that is easily past 12am. I try my best to finish my home work before going to school, so I sleep around 3-4am. So instead of being unhealthy through lack of exercise and lack of healthy food, I am now unhealthy through lack of sleep.
I am thinking about re-organizing my schedule so I can actually have time to sleep while working out along with all my other work I must finish.
I have not played any games on my nintendo ds in a while, I miss my friend terribly, and I want to eat ice cream.
The punishments were easy to ignore, but the rewards actually helped motivate me.
I think this project would've worked better if I were to change somebody else.

Overall, this project was very interesting, and helped me figure out what I should really change about myself.

  1. Wow you got hit by a car luckily nothing bad came out of that right? One time I almost got hit by a truck while runnig at night it is a bit dangerous. But anyway, it is sad to hear that your time has become so limited and that you have trouble finishing everything on time. But on the positive side, like you mention in your blog now you know more about yourself!

  2. I hope you are okay! I like how you said that this would be more effective if it was you changing somebody else- hah. That's true though. I think it would've helped to have someone who was constantly rewarding or punishing us. I guess that's why people get personal trainers.

Oh, and great job - you quit smoking! That will have a major impact on your health, whether you realize it at first or not. And I would definitely consider rearranging your schedule so that you get a solid 8 hours of sleep. People don't realize how important that is, but it affects so many things in our daily lives - our moods, which affect the way we think, which affect our attitudes, which affect how we act and live. So go get some sleep and good luck!

  3. Iuri,

    Hope everything is okay!

Based on what you said, there are a lot of things that you still need to improve and organize to have everything better. But, everything could be done little by little, so don't worry about it. I believe you just need more time to finish up and organize everything.

Keep up a good work ! And congratulations on quitting smoking =)

  4. Hey Iuri, sorry you weren't able to play with your Nintendo DS or hang out with your friend, but I guess sacrifices have to be made haha. Anyways, congratulations on leading a better and healthier life, however I really do think you need to rearrange your schedule because sleep is extremely important. Last year, I was also following the same sleep habits as you are right now, but this year I have been sleeping for atleast 7 hours each night and so far I have a 4.0 GPA this year as opposed to last year's 3.1 I really do think sleep had alot to do with it because I can pay better attention in class and I remember things better. Well that was my two cents. Good Luck!
